Dear friends, we hope that you will enjoy the house and the town of Cortona as much as we do! Here for you some useful information about the functions of the house, please follow these guidelines to help ensure your stay is safe and comfortable. Thank you!"
HEAT
You have the thermostat in the living room to set the heat in all the unit.
Please do not leave the windows open when the heat is on. Heating costs, in Italy, are very high and we kindly ask you to keep this in mind. To regulate heat: turn on dial between 15-18. The need to raise the temperature is rare. Once a comfortable temperature is established please turn it down to 5-10 to maintain the heat.
AIR CONDITIONING
You have the thermostat in the living room to set the heat in all the unit.
The ideal temperature inside a room in the height of summer is around 26°C. The first tip is therefore to set the air conditioner at this temperature, in order to avoid dangerous sudden changes in temperature when moving from one room to another.
ELECTRICITY AND LIGHTS
Please turn off the lights in the rooms you are not using. Electricity is also costly and we ask again that you make every attempt to conserve electricity.
FUSE BOX
Should the power go out, you will find the fuse box in the corridor. Make sure all the switches are in the ON position.
INTERNET ACCESS
The password of the wi-fi is Cortona2023. If you have any problems with the internet please contact our team in Cortona. The living room gets the best connection.
CELL PHONE RECEPTION IN HOUSE AND AROUND TOWN
The best place for good cell phone reception is outside or near the windows. It is also problematic in much of Cortona because of the thick stone walls. The best place is right in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica.
AT THE CHECK OUT
You will have made your departure arrangements with our team in Cortona. Remember to close the windows and the patio doors, switch off the lights and turn all the appliances off. If you happen to leave something behind don't worry, we'll arrange for its return. If you need a taxi make sure to book in advance!
TOWELS AND BED LINENS
We only provide the initial set of towels per person (1 large for the shower, 1 medium for hands and face and 1 smaller for the bidet). In case you want more towels are 15 euro for each extra set.
Upon leaving please, leave all dirty linens from the beds and bathrooms in a pile on the bathroom floor.

The water in the house is drinkable. Please, consider that water pressure may be weaker than in the USA.

The toilet clog easily, so please only throw toilet paper in the toilet
